Lead Consultant - Citrix Support DC Ops Engineer

Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Citrix Support DC Ops Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Citrix infrastructure within our data center environment. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Citrix services to meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and related components within the data center environment.

Provide L2/L3 support for Citrix-related incidents and service requests escalated from L1 support teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.

Monitor Citrix environment performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance scalability and efficiency.

Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for Citrix environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate documentation, including configuration guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on Citrix performance and health metrics.

Lead the resolution of Citrix-related incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Manage changes to the Citrix environment through rigorous testing, coordination, and documentation to minimize risks and disruptions.

Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure integrated and efficient Citrix operations.

Coordinate with Citrix vendors and service providers to resolve escalated issues and optimize Citrix services.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Strong experience in managing Citrix infrastructure and operations within a large enterprise environment.

Strong understanding of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and related technologies.

Experience with Citrix NetScaler or ADC for load balancing and application delivery.

Proficiency in troubleshooting Citrix-related issues, including performance tuning and optimization.

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and desktop virtualization concepts.

Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Citrix certifications such as CCP-V (Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization) or CCE-V (Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization).

Experience with Citrix Cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
