Job description

Role - Lead Consultant
Location - Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt

Roles and Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration and Leadership:Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.Participate in architecture review boards and provide expertise and recommendations on network-related projects.Stay updated on industry trends, certifications, and best practices to enhance professional knowledge and expertise.Network Design and Architecture:Assess the organization's network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement or optimization.Design, develop, and document network architecture blueprints, including high-level and low-level network designs.Define network standards, protocols, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into network designs.Network Performance and Optimization:Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.Conduct network capacity planning and scalability assessments to accommodate future growth and expansion.Optimize network configurations, protocols, and QoS (Quality of Service) settings for optimal performance.Perform periodic audits and assessments of network infrastructure to ensure adherence to design standards and best practices.Vendor Management and Collaboration:Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select appropriate network solutions.Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).Provide technical guidance and support during the procurement process for network equipment and services.Documentation and Reporting:Create detailed network design documents, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.Develop project plans, timelines, and cost estimates for network implementation projects.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to stakeholders, including management and technical teams.Responsibilities:Analyse and resolve network hardware and software connectivity issues.Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Wireless access points and controllers.Perform network infrastructure remote monitoring and management using SolarWinds network monitoring tool.Respond to incoming tickets, troubleshoot, and escalate, if necessary.Network trends analysis for capacity planning and proactive fault finding.Root cause analysis of network syslog and documentation.Work with TAC as and when requiredGood Knowledge and hand-on with Network administrationGood Hands-on wireless technology with experience on Extreme & CiscoShould have extensive knowledge of switching/Routing Performance tuning and Bandwidth monitoringMaintain and support services/hardware’s under network team responsibility.Contribute to documentation, review standards and operational procedures Troubleshooting the issues on different network platforms LAN, WirelessProvide RCA of the major incidents/problemsCandidate should be flexible to work in 24*7 rotational shiftCertifications Required:Strong Knowledge in Network administration processes and concepts.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fieldThe following certifications are a plus: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, ITIL V3 or ITIL V4Technology SDLAN (CISCO SDA) , CISCO DNAC, CISCO ISE, BIG IP , DDI and SDWAN – CISCO Experience and troubleshooting in routing (OSPF / BGP routing protocols), VPN and Wireless
Highly experienced with Wired/wireless networking and network securityKnowledge of Tools like LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, Thousand eyes, CISCO SpacesGood Knowledge of Security Technologies.Degree/Degree in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.Desired technical Skills:Routing and Switching skills.Should have a knowledge of Wireless Networking Running regular checks on network and data security.Should have knowledge on 802.1x flow , Guest Wireless , TACACsShould have hands on experience on WLCs and WAPs and must possess good troubleshooting skills.Should be aware of NAC solution flowShould have hands on experience on following WLCs: RFS 4000 WLC, V2110 WLC, NX9600 , 7500 5500 , VX 9000 seriesShould have hands on experience on following WAPs : AP302W , AP360i/e , AP460C, AP 500 , 310 seriesWLAN's architecture, design, and layout, including protocols and standards used, as well as configuration.About Us
