JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day to day Contract Administration Activities for the Organization including but not limited to review, clarify and develop contract language, ensure management queries are promptly and thoroughly addressed, as well as develop and manage departmental procedures that meet company quality and service standard objectives.  Support the Director of Strategic Revenue This role will help supervise and mentor four staff.  


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and mentor staff of employees who prepare and draft contracts for Commercial Customers.  This position must identify trends within the contract department and develop solutions to problems by providing supervision, technical assistance, guidance, support and training for contract staff.Proactively manage and aggressively monitor all in-scope contracts and agreements: Monitor contracts, terms, service levels, earn-backs, penalties, etc. through metrics, dashboards and frequent reporting; Manage legal / contractual relationships and related issues and risks.Coordinate and liaise with other Highmark functions and related external constituents: Coordinate with internal and external legal, finance, audit, IT, business, operations, regulatory, compliance, privacy, and other units as necessary for contract related tasks; Proactively follow-up on open action items related to program level issues; Collaboratively work with other functions to ensure timely handling of all contractual issues, disputes, escalations, etc.; Coordinate with other functions to actively manage identified contract risks.Manage contract administration infrastructure, including: Design and oversee execution of all contract administration related tools, systems, processes, etc.; Evaluate, assess and recommend ongoing improvements to the contract administration function (including all related tools, systems, processes, etc.).Communicate monthly on Department goals and metrics, including proposing steps for driving improved performance.  Support annual goal setting.Stand in for Director, Strategic Revenue Management as needed.Other duties as assigned or requested.
