Lead Cook - Days/Evenings

Position Highlights:

Position: Lead Cook Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, ILFull Time | 40 hours/weekHours: Monday-Friday, 6am - 2:30pm and 11am - 7:30pm, with rotating holidays

What you will do:

This position assists the Executive Chef in overseeing the Cooks. This includes ensuring compliance to local and federal production, sanitation and safety standards, assisting in the training of new staff and notifying Facilities of any malfunctioning equipment. Functions as a Cook by preparing menu items utilizing standardized recipes for patients, cafeteria and the catered services. 

What you will need:

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant management/Hospitality, preferred.Completion of an ACF (American Culinary Federation) accredited culinary arts or hospitality management program, preferred.Certification: Illinois Department of Public Health Sanitation Certification within 3 months of start date into positionExperience: a minimum of five years of food service experience or two years of leadership experience, preferred.
