Lead Copywriter, Amazon Private Brands

The WW Amazon Private Brands Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior copywriter to join their global creative team.
They will be responsible for leading the end-to-end copywriting for one of our flagship brands. This includes defining the strategy for editorial branded content, detail pages, and packaging, as well as writing the supporting copy.
The right person for this role will have a track record of leading the copywriting strategy for a global world-class brand. They should have experience not only defining, but also drafting copy lines to reflect their strategy, and experience copywriting for different parts of the customer journey, from upper-funnel brand communications on social media to lower-funnel packaging copy and detail page copy. They must be adept at both short-form and longer-form copy, with experience using tools including generative AI to help scale. They should be confident presenting their work to senior leaders, and should be able to debate and defend their copy to get the right result for customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Independently lead the copywriting for a flagship private brand – across detail pages, packaging, and on-site content
• Understand the propositions of our private brands and consistently develop and apply their brand voice in style and tonality across all customer touch points
• Create and maintain copywriting brand guidelines and style guides
• Present and discuss creative writing with senior leaders
• Understand and respond to testing metrics and performance data to define or adjust the direction of creative writing
• Collaborate with and/or oversee external copywriters or agencies
• Work to scale copywriting through generative AI and other tools
