Lead Counsel, AI Partnerships
**Summary:** Meta is seeking a Lead Counsel to work on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Partnerships legal team. This role's primary function is to support a range of technology transactions focused on Meta’s AI products and services for the government sector. You will join a growing team of technology deal lawyers working in an exciting space. **Required Skills:** Lead Counsel, AI Partnerships Responsibilities: 1. Prepare, negotiate and close technology transactions of various complexity. 2. Actively collaborate with a broad cross-functional team on government contract strategy and evaluating contracting opportunities, translating the government contracting ecosystem and Meta’s AI strategy into contracts. 3. Draft, negotiate and close complex contracts with governments and government contractors, ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations and agency-specific requirements. 4. Advise partnerships teams on go-to-market strategies for the government sector, including strategic engagements with government agencies and related organizations. 5. Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 6. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) 7. Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status 8. 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies 9. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and other government contracting regulations and processes, including OTAs and CRADAs 10. Experience advising businesses on working with the government sector, including strategies for marketing to agencies and securing contracts 11. Experience drafting complex technology licensing agreements and technology transaction counseling **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 12. Experience working proactively and reliably under tight timeframes 13. Experience collaborating at all levels of the business across functions, including leadership 14. Experience in government service 15. Experience supporting emerging technologies in the government space 16.
