Our work includes advanced technical deterrence strategies like forensics, attribution, device countermeasures, adversary emulation, and deception. At L543, we scrutinize both domestic and foreign control and weapons systems for vulnerabilities in hardware and software. Roles & Responsibilities:

The Cyber Physical Deterrence Technologies (L543) department in the Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center (CIPIC) is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cyber Security TTX Engineer who is a capable of cross-cultural communication and interdisciplinary engineering & operations. Key aspects of performance include but not limited to working across our MITRE project and sponsor teams to make significant contributions in MNS, Labs, and MPS while working on the most consequential of sponsor problems and maximizing value. Successfully capable and able to:

Apply problem-solving skills to complex interdisciplinary problems that occur within or at the intersection of organizations, operations, and technology.apply and leverage operational analysis & experimentation through model-based systems engineering, data science, and Modeling and Simulations (M&S) capabilities will be key to continuing to deliver impact.Focus on US Geographic Combatant Commands and able to conduct theater specific capability & technology gap analysis.Developing comprehensive and technology specific data collection and analysis plans for key exercise venues.Develop integration and analysis plans for experimental capabilities and exercise assessments, identifying data and interoperability requirements.Develop and deliver operational and technical feedback to project managers and development teams to inform program requirements and system development.This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree’ or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Requires a Top Secret with SCITask, Group, or Outcome Lead experience within a complex task or project team.Knowledge of National Security, National Defense, Joint Military Operations, Multidomain operations including A2AD, Experimentation and Exercise development activities.Demonstrated experience in developing modeling and simulation environments (JOVE, AFSIM, OneSAF, MATLAB, etc.) to support capability evaluations for Wargaming, TTXs, Campaign Analyses, and Assessments.Demonstrated collaboration across MITRE programs working in the capability area.Demonstrate excitement for MITRE’s values and mission.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams, various sponsors, and across MITRE as appropriate. This includes leveraging relationships and experience to benefit staff and work programs.Experience with conducting modeling and simulation or building innovation solutions to improve analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated Knowledge & Proficiency of Foreign LanguagesDemonstrated understanding of military doctrine, systems, and policy awareness.Demonstrated Experience with Project Management; Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Desired.Possess experience with capabilities development and technology innovation activities, to include Joint and Army Cross Functional Team Development priorities, Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), and DARPA focus areas.Experience working with Senior Government Leaders within the InteragencyExperience at a Theater Level Staff, Army Service Component Command, Capability Development Integration Directorate (CDID), DEVCOM, or like innovation center.Demonstrated experience leading interagency teams focused on resolving cross-cutting problems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and effective at diplomatically interacting with technical staff, analysts, and operators ranging from action officers to senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to deliver technical reports and briefings for operational sponsors.In depth knowledge of key MITRE research areas involving space assets and effects delivery, integrated theater fires, operational data fabric implementations.Familiarity with government sponsored development environments at varying classification levels.A clear understanding of defense related activities, requirements, and organizational responsibilities.Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearanceExperience working with/for agencies and/or departments of the US Government
