Lead Cybersecurity - Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Architect to join our dynamic team at AT&T. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing robust IT architectures within large-scale/enterprise organizations.  In this role you will lead the deployment and life cycle of security tools used in a variety of enterprise security areas including API runtime monitoring, Database and Server scanning, credential management systems, WAFs/Firewall deployment and support, IAM solutions, etc

Key roles and responsibilities:

Architecture Design: Design and develop architectural solutions for API gateways and web services that meet business and technical requirements.Security Implementation: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect APIs and web services.Performance Optimization: Ensure that the systems are optimized for performance and scalability.Monitoring and Maintenance: Develop strategies for monitoring, maintaining, and improving system performance and security.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and processes.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and gather feedback.

Job Contribution: 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree preferred.

Experience:

5-10 years of experience in systems architecture, specifically involving API gateways and web services.Extensive experience with NoName Security (or other similar API security tool) and Akamai API Gateway technologies.Proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise-level web services.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in API Management: Proficient in designing, implementing, and managing API gateways, specifically using NoName Security and Akamai.Web Services: In-depth knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services, including their design, implementation, and security.Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.Security: Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, and authentication mechanisms, particularly in the context of APIs and web services.Networking: Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.

Soft Skills:

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with developers, IT staff, and business stakeholders.Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects.

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant security certifications.

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

The Lead Cybersecurity earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
