Lead Data Architect
We are seeking a Lead Data Architect to join our Applications Development team at Mercer. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Lead Data Architect at Marsh, your role serves as the lead data architect for the Corporate Data Engineering team and will align with the Enterprise Corporate line of business. The Lead Data Architect is expected to make an immediate impact on the assigned projects.
We will count on you to:
Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive, thoughtful, and best-in-class data ingestion and processing capabilities to support this line of business.Provide technical leadership, leading the team to build reusable and scalable data pipelines and new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexityWork in tandem with source system and application teams to integrate and establish data pipelines using Databricks, S3 and other AWS services.Understand data landscape i.e., tooling, tech stack, source systems etc. and work closely with extended platform teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting and analytics capabilitiesCollaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organizationParticipate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assuranceWhat you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics3+ years of relevant Databricks, Data Ingestion/ETL/ELT, Big Data, and Data Visualizations experience.Strong Python development and SQL experienceExperience with schema design and dimensional data modelling.Experience working on AWS and related services (not limited to) such as Glue, Athena, S3.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishWhat makes you stand out:
