Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities As a lead data engineer, you will leverage cutting-edge analytics to unlock the potential within our data, guide critical business decisions and propel sustainable growth. Key activities: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, storage, compute components using Azure Services Understand the Data Platforms & Services strategy, information architecture and build modern data lake to support International’s data needs. Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions Lead the evaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools to modernize data platform Partner with analysts and architects to develop technical architectures for data engineering projects Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 9 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience At least 2 years of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 5 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience At least 2 years of lead experience OR At least 12 years of analytics or data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience At least 2 years of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Technology experience that includes hands-on experience with software development, data engineering, and systems architecture Experience deploying modern data solutions leveraging components like Azure functions, Azure Data Factory, Data Flows, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Streaming Analytics or equivalent Exhibit a thorough understanding of Data Lake architectures, including raw, enriched, and curated layer concepts, and ETL/ELT operations. Strong proficiency in PLSQL, Spark, PySpark, Python and Pandas Hands on experience in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS and Event Hub Solid experience developing and maintaining data warehouses with Big Data technologies Experience in modernizing Hadoop, Teradata on-prem data warehouses would be a plus Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions Bias for action, with ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization and time management Intellectual curiosity to understand and answer questions Intellectual humility to leverage the expertise of others Exemplary organizational skills with attention to detail & accuracy Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
