As a Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of a cutting edge team that works to enhance, build, and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Generates data models using firmwide tooling, statistics, and algorithmsWorks alongside other Data Engineers and stakeholders to develop data extraction and transformation pipelines Delivers data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable wayWorks with key stakeholders to understand key data requirementsDesigns and implements data solutions, with effective access control and securityDesigns and implements data visualisation solutions with a focus on User ExperienceAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Data Engineering concepts and proficient advanced experienceSelf motivated and driven; capable of managing deliverables as an individual contributorExperience and proficiency across the data lifecycleAdvanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)Working understanding of Cloud platforms e.g. AWSAdept at working with stakeholders to develop a cohesive business requirement that can create testable outcomesExperience working with Big Data; Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, LakehousesProficient in Databricks and Python, including concurrency and error handlingExperience working with ETL toolsData visualisation toolsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsAWS, Lambdas, TerraformJavaFront end developmentUser Experience skillsSnowflake, Data modellingExperience working in large scale, global, highly regulated institutions
