You are:
A Data Engineer Lead who has a strong grasp of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Lakehouse Architectures, as well as proficiency in Python and SQL.
The Opportunity:
· Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines in Snowflake leveraging cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). · Develop and optimize data models and architecture for Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses to support business requirements. · Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available. · Write complex SQL queries and scripts for data manipulation and retrieval. · Utilize Python for automation of data processes and integration of data sources. · Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet these requirements. · Stay current with industry trends and technologies, continuously improving the solutions and practices.You Will Need:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. · At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, specifically with Snowflake and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). · Proven expertise in Python and SQL. · Experience in designing and implementing robust data pipelines capable of processing and transforming large datasets is essential. · A conceptual understanding of the medallion architecture is also required. · Strong foundational knowledge in Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures. · Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines. · Solid understanding of the medallion architecture. · Experience and exposure to AWS or Azure, or GCP is a must have. · Experience with real-time data processing and analytics. · Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. · Strong communication and collaboration skills. · Ability to travel to client sites, as required.
Bonus Points if you have:
· Snowflake Advanced certifications or similar certifications in Apache Spark, Python, SQL are a highly preferred · Familiarity with additional programming languages including DBT or analytics tools.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote, NY or Seattle, WA preferable
Compensation Range: $76,500 to $112,500 base/annually

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
