Lead Data Pipeline Engineer - (Snowflake: Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel)

As a key member of our team, the Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting essential enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data integration, ETL processes, and business intelligence to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and leveraging skills and experience to create end-to-end solutions, from data acquisition and modeling to reporting and visualization. The candidate will continuously assess and adopt new technologies, methodologies and practices to enhance data processing capabilities. This position is crucial in ensuring high-quality data operations and providing valuable insights to support the organization’s decision-making processes.Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into SnowflakeOptimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms for performance and scalabilityConfigure and manage Snowflake data infrastructure componentsCollaborate with analysts and BI developers to design and implement data models that support reporting and analytical requirementsMonitor and optimize ETL jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability, implementing best practices for data processingEnsure high levels of data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processesImplement data governance best practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance with organizational standardsEnsure proper configuration management and change controls are implementedWork closely with offshore team(s) and participate in scrum callsUnderstand normalized and star-schema physical models and logical modeling conceptsCollaborate with Oracle ERP Analyst to identify and resolve data quality issuesParticipate and handle full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Coach/mentor other team members as appropriate to facilitate their professional development
