We are seeking a Lead Data Platform Engineer on behalf of our client to drive the scaling of their data platform, which processes petabytes of data and supports analytics, data science, and machine learning teams. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance, while also spearheading architectural decisions for greenfield projects. You’ll collaborate closely with key stakeholders across engineering, product, machine learning, and analytics teams to develop roadmaps, prioritize projects, and ensure the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the data platform team, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth. Oversee and manage Snowflake and other critical data infrastructure. Act as a subject-matter expert on data security, governance, and performance, making key technical decisions. Collaborate with analytics and machine learning teams to deliver robust tools and infrastructure that enable impactful data products. Manage the team’s daily operations and ensure the smooth delivery of projects. Desired Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or management within data engineering, analytics engineering, or data infrastructure. Extensive expertise in ETL architecture and related infrastructure tools. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools. Advanced knowledge of the Snowflake platform.
