Climate LLC: Lead Data Scientist for San Francisco, CA to lead data research projects & development of agronomic customer behavior models to improve business outcomes; develop & execute project briefs; drive agronomic project prioritization; oversee team in planning & implementing research improvements using statistical and modeling techniques; perform code review of agronomic models for department; set research strategy & ensure alignment with business strategy; manage communication of modeling results & predicted outcomes to internal and external stakeholders; mentor & coach junior data scientists. Requires Master’s in Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research or closely related quantitative field & 2 yrs experience building predictive machine learning and Bayesian statistical models using Python and Tensorflow to derive insights from agronomic, biotech and/or environmental data; joining & curating large, diverse datasets across multiple databases using PySpark and YARN to evaluate agronomic, biotech and/or environmental data quality; performing exploratory data analysis to evaluate data trends using Matplotlib and/or Seaborn in Domino; building descriptive & predictive machine learning and statistical models for research applications on scalable platforms, including AWS Sagemaker, ECR and Docker; building Python modules into stable & reusable Conda packages; using version control systems, including Gitlab; creating & deploying CI/CD pipelines with Artifactory; and performing code review. Up to 10% U.S. travel req’d. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per wk from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of San Francisco, CA. Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $150,000.00 to $170,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
