Base Pay Range:
$130,000-$160,000/yearAs a Lead Data Scientist your essential job functions will include the following:
Provide Thought Leadership & Drive Change
Deliver data-driven insights through advanced algorithms and statistical models aligned with Supply Chain strategy, maximizing profitability and minimizing costs.Collaborate with leadership to solve problems, assess results, and communicate actionable recommendations effectively.Build relationships with cross-functional teams to drive progress and adoption of Data Science projects.Advanced Modeling and Analysis
Identify and prioritize projects with the greatest returns and develop advanced mathematical and statistical models.Apply statistical methods such as regression, optimization, forecasting, and simulations to deliver impactful results.Develop, maintain, and optimize models in cloud environments, ensuring business teams can leverage insights with actionable recommendations.Collect, cleanse, transform, and curate structured and unstructured data into usable formats for research and analysis.Utilize tools like SQL and data APIs to manage data in various storage environments, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.Product and Project Management
Lead projects and collaborate with subject matter experts to align analysis outcomes with organizational goals.Design and deliver scalable, integrated software tools and models that balance predictive power, interpretability, and operational risks.Manage strategic projects, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and appropriate ROI for recommended initiatives.Technical Leadership, Mentoring & Coaching
Lead and support analytics initiatives across functions, delivering timely, error-free work while maintaining trust with leadership.Mentor and coach team members, fostering collaboration and developing a deep organizational perspective within the team.Monitor project performance, driving success across the full lifecycle of Data Science initiatives.Other Duties as Assigned
Basic Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields, Master’s degree preferred4-5 years of experience with end-to-end data-science product managementEffective program management experience with proven results requiredStrong ability to present complex technical material to non-technical and/or executive audiencesAdvanced proficiency in programming languages for statistics and automation (Python or R)Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)Experience with statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised machine-learning frameworks is a plus (SciPy, sklearn, etc.)Proficient in data-access languages (SQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL)Preferred Requirements
3+ years of experience in the areas of Operations Research and/or Supply Chain Projects (demand planning & forecasting inventory, optimization, network design, segmentation, and S&OP) in sophisticated and complex environments.Prior experience in applying data science to supply chain problems preferredAdvanced proficiency with AWS Amazon Web Services (Sagemaker, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, Glue, Step Functions, etc.)Proficient in agile work management tools (Jira)Proficient with version control approaches for product development (Infrastructure as code, Unit testing, Git, documentation, logging, etc.)Familiarity with Alteryx for automated reporting is a plusWorks with a sense of urgency and is able to work independently with minimal supervisionCompetencies Required
