Summary of Role:

The Demand Planner role will play a critical part in the execution of a new Forecasting and Demand Planning process at GlobalFoundries.  This is a new role, on a new team, in a very exciting company and industry.  We have very exciting goals for the next several years and this position will be critical to driving our results.

Essential Responsibilities:

Generate, validate, and adjust statistical models by independently running best-fit forecasting algorithms and comparing accuracy with statistical plans

Support the Consensus Demand Planning process by providing the statistical forecast, generating insights, and leading the Customer Collaboration process with the customer business managers

Analyze statistical demand forecast and compute forecast accuracy metrics (Weighted Forecast Accuracy, Bias, etc.) to make customer-specific forecast input recommendations

Partner with Sales to align on the consensus demand plan by reviewing risks and opportunities and building trusted customer relationships to solicit strategic business insights

Maintain and modify demand driver inputs based on information from customer business managers

Analyze accuracy of demand driver inputs and provide recommendations based on historical data/ demand trends

Recommend changes to statistical forecasting models and input parameters to optimize accuracy and reduce bias

Work with customer business managers to create and model demand scenarios for customer collaboration meetings

Configure dashboards and maintain relevant reports to provide real time insights on forecast performance metrics with ability to drill down to root causes

Interface with customer business managers to resolve demand gaps/ imbalances and shape demand

Responsible for accuracy of demand forecasting models and inputs.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field

Experience – 6-7 years minimum experience in: Knowledge of, and experience with forecasting, demand planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Strong business acumen and end market knowledge

Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders ,

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers in planning and replenishment discussions based on scenario modeling

Strong analytical and modeling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, Logility, etc.)

Strong and deep knowledge and experience with MS Excel

Skills:  Hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Logility);  experience in an ERP environment (i.e. SAP or Oracle) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in R programming

Experience in Python

Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated proficiency in modeling and forecasting

Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously

Ability to work within and across multiple functional teams, collaborating with Planning, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders

Ability to strategically identify and validate semiconductor industry trends and demand drivers

Executive presence and comfortable presenting and working with senior leadership

Strong written and oral communication skills

Execution oriented – thrive under pressure with a demonstrated ability to get things done

Strong attention to detail – ability to accurately manage, update, maintain large datasets.

Expected Salary Range

$82,300.00 - $146,300.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
