- Working with the Operations team maintaining responsibility to ensure all derivatives are being correctly processed, reconciled, collateralised, documented, valued, and monitored. - Analyse and understanding of business requirements / mechanics for new derivative instruments and products and assist in the design and implementation of end-to-end Derivative solutions.- Assisting in the on-boarding of Derivatives for existing & new clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring that the oversight of all Derivative related transactions (OTC & ETD) is accurately supported in the processing, control, collateral, and pricing oversight operational functions.
• Liaise closely with Fund Managers and Dealers to define any additional needs and improvements in the procedures for Derivatives.
• Assist in building relationships with Brokers, Custodians, and key vendors to ensure efficient processing of derivative trade activity and lifecycle events.
• Identify trends of failed and mismatched trades to enhance processes and maximise efficiency and assist in the collating of data for KPI and MI reporting.
• Escalate issues as appropriate to management. Ensure that the correct parties have been notified and actively work to see the issue through to resolution.
• Analyse and monitor department controls for effectiveness and recommend and implement process improvements as needed to reduce risk.
• Provide SME/operational expertise for testing of systems, generating ad-hoc reports and assisting in miscellaneous projects, as needed, for enhancements or regulatory requirements.
• Oversight and resolution of OTC pricing discrepancies between Aladdin and BVAL
Ability to identify trends to improve processes and maximize efficiencies.
