Job Description:
Position Overview: Lead Design Director for NEOM THE LINE Program will be directing multi-disciplinary team in the Design packages of a giga project, Director is required to combine their technical experience and knowledge for the management of design by the client’s design consultants for a mega Highrise building project. manage the Design Project Manager in managing and delivering the design in accordance with the Program and the requirements of the client. Coordinate and monitor the development of the design consultant’s planned activities and provide progress reports to Design Project Management, highlighting performance to plan. Plan and organize the review of the design consultant’s deliverables, interfacing with subject matter experts and design review teams.
What You'll Be Doing:
Team Leadership
Lead multidisciplinary team and ensure they are given clear instructions and guidance.
Manage third party design consultants
Supervise and participate in advanced complex professional planning activities.
Assigns work to professional staff and ensures appropriate training is provided.
Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
Advise the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
Develop technical inputs to support the delivery of high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.
work programs to translate project objectives provided by the Client into detailed plans and take on the responsibility to subdivide work assignments and tasks to the project team.
Implement required measures during the project management process and lead the team by resolving any problems, technical issues or deviations from plans to ensure that project progress is maintained as per plan.
Maintain contact and coordination with the multiple external agencies involved in the translation of the Government’s development mandate and master plan objectives into work plans through maintaining meaningful working relationships to facilitate a shared understanding.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BS or Master’s degree in Architecture or closely related field.
Minimum 25 years of progressive urban planning and design experience working on a variety of projects
Experience in PMC/PMO/IDC role
Experience in producing master plans, conceptual designs and illustrative layouts.
Experience in developing urban planning regulations and writing technical manual
