Job Description Job Purpose ICE Data Services (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking experienced and capable engineer to work in our Technical team to deliver high-quality software. This team supports a variety of global corporate emissions and climate transition data and products. This presents a unique opportunity to support an innovative team leveraging global corporate emissions and climate transition data to enhance and create products for the financial sector. We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to take ownership of our Climate Transition Analytics platform. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical development process, coordinating between backend and UI teams, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with business needs. You will be a key player in shaping the technical direction and mentoring junior engineers in the team. Responsibilities Lead the software development process, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and reliability of the platform. Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. Take ownership of the Climate Transition Analytics platform, ensuring smooth coordination between backend and UI teams. Understand business requirements, user needs, and common use cases to drive technical solutions. Analyse the impact of new business requirements on applications, redesigning, implementing, testing, and deploying changes as needed. Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the platform. Knowledge and Experience Proven experience as a Lead Developer or Senior Developer. At least 8+ years of experience in Python and Flask development. Strong understanding of web development concepts such as RESTful API design, authentication, and security. Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Strong understanding of unit testing concepts and experience with testing frameworks like pytest. Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on testability. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus. Experience with ReactJS will be a plus. Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
