Who will you be working with?
As the Lead EHS Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our safety culture, collaborating with our service function, including service shops across Kazakhstan. You will work closely with other EHS specialists, technical staff, and management to ensure compliance with EHS standards and improve safety and health practices. Your role is crucial in fostering a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.

What do we want to know about you?
You possess higher professional (technical) education in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
You bring at least 5 years of practical EHS work experience to the table.
You are proficient in English and Kazakh, and fluent in Russian.
Having a Fire and Electrical Safety certification (or the ability to achieve it within 6 months) is a plus. NEBOSH or IOSH training would be an additional asset.
You thrive in team settings and excel at multitasking.
You have excellent project management skills and can effectively prioritize tasks.
You are confident with a high energy level, ready to take on challenges.
You have outstanding organizational and communication skills, ensuring you can manage tasks efficiently and communicate effectively with all team members.
What will your typical day look like?
Organizational and Documentation Tasks:
Organize and support the creation and revision of safety instructions for employees, ensuring they are comprehensive and up-to-date.Draft and review orders, standards, instructions, and other EHS documents, including methodological and procedural guidelines.Study and generalize EHS data from various functions to develop proposals that address findings and enhance safety conditions.Update and systematize current EHS legislative acts, prepare reference materials, and leverage modern information technologies for documentation.Coordination and Management:
Oversee and coordinate EHS efforts across different functions and service sites to ensure alignment with company policies.Drive and manage a range of initiatives aimed at ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and enhancing operations and sustainability.Organize and lead EHS courses and HSE training sessions for employees to improve safety awareness and practices.Compliance and Development:
Monitor service sites to ensure they adhere to health, safety, fire safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection standards.Contribute to the creation and improvement of training programs and courses to address evolving EHS needs.Inspection and Reporting:
Carry out inspections and evaluations of facilities, equipment, and safety measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and address any identified issues.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual safety and health reports for management and regulatory bodies in accordance with Kazakhstan's legislation.Control and Oversight:
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear by employees, and oversee their compliance with safety protocols.Enforce measures prescribed by state authorities, company directives, and accident investigation reports.Maintain safety of technological processes and work environments to meet regulatory and technical standards.Additional Responsibilities:
Provide induction and ongoing EHS training, including testing employee knowledge and ensuring timely completion of required training.Adhere to all occupational safety, industrial safety, fire safety, and hygienic norms in line with current legislation.Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Direct Manager or Company management to support the overall EHS objectives.Be prepared for business trips within Kazakhstan (Maqat, Shalkar, Sekseul, Shu, Ayagoz, Astana, Almaty) to ensure on-site EHS compliance and support.Successful candidates will be employed under local employment conditions and must already satisfy local employment/work permit and residency regulations.
