In this position, you’ll leverage your knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects, working with key Australian Standards to design detailed electrical systems. You’ll engage with clients and apply your experience with power systems software, while also gaining a deeper understanding of functional safety and Hazardous Area principles.

What We’re Looking For 🔍
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Electrical Engineering (CPEng preferred) and at least 10 years of post-graduate experience in industrial projects, particularly in sectors like energy, water, or mining. You’ll bring expertise in MV/LV electrical distribution, motor control systems, and relevant Australian standards, such as AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1, and AS/NZS 2067. Experience in Safety in Design practices, risk assessments, and project planning is key, as well as leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members.
Your excellent communication skills will be essential for collaborating with clients, leading business development, and preparing tender responses. An understanding of renewable energy, industrial communication systems, SCADA, and PLC/DCS will be an advantage, as well as knowledge of Hazardous Areas and Functional Safety standards (AS/NZS 60079, AS 61508, AS IEC 61511, AS/NZS 4024).
You’ll have experience across all project phases—concept, FEED, and detailed design—and will work closely with Project Managers and engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. If you're ready to take on exciting challenges and make an impact in a collaborative team, apply now!
