Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc is the full-service consulting and engineering district of Kiewit. This position is based out of Calgary, AB. Occasional travel will be required, including into the US. Opportunities for flexible work are available.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. At least 10 years’ experience performing electrical design in the any one of the oil and gas, power or energy industries. Experience in construction support, facilities commissions and startup and previous experience directing junior engineers is desirable. Experience with electrical equipment (Transformers, Switchgear, Cables, MCCs, Panelboards) sizing and specification. Knowledge of industry codes, guidelines and regulatory standards. Experience with ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis software or similar tool (SKM, EZ-Power, CYMCAP) desired. Knowledgeable in power system calculations including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, equipment sizing, grounding, and relay coordination preferred. Professional Engineering (PEng) designation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel freely in Canada and the US.
