**Job Title: Lead Electrician**
**Job Description**
As a Lead Electrician, you will communicate with the management team throughout the project and provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team. You will use blueprints to execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. You will also be responsible for installing electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components, fire alarm systems, and connecting wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
**Responsibilities**
+ Communicate with the management team throughout the project.
+ Provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team.
+ Use blueprints to execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
+ Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, circuit-breaker panels, fire alarm systems).
+ Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
+ Bend and install conduit and pull wire throughout.
+ Troubleshoot, inspect, install, and/or replace old wiring and insulated cables, clean circuits.
+ Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
+ Ability to read blueprints and layout work for the team.
+ Experience installing lighting, controls, and devices.
+ Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
+ Journeyman certification.
+ Foreman experience.
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ OSHA certification.
+ Scheduling experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience leading and/or supervising a team of up to 10 electricians and apprentices.
+ Experience with BIM360, Procore, Autodesk software.
+ CPR and First Aid training preferred.
+ OSHA 30 is preferred.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Graduate of State electrical apprenticeship or technical school equivalency.
+ Expert knowledge of electrical theory and understanding of the current National Electric Code.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
+ Experience installing commercial and industrial power systems, lighting, controls, and working with high-end finishes preferred.
+ Capable of analyzing and solving problems with multiple electrical system types.
+ Must have a clean driving record.
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
+ Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
+ Capable of performing limited to frequent stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and overhead working.
+ Expected to work 8-hour shifts with some overtime, weekend, or night shifts.
+ Able to take and follow directions from a supervisor.

**Work Environment**
You will be working on new construction projects in the greater Nashville area, including projects at Vanderbilt, a school in Franklin, and a mixed-use building in 12 South. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 1st shift, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, with 8-hour workdays. Be prepared for potential overtime during the week as well as Saturday work. The ideal candidate will have their OSHA 10 certification or be willing to take the class during orientation. Must have a diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
