Digital Factory development team builds manufacturing process intelligence into the aPriori to enhance the tool capability to accurately Should Process Gas Power components and assemblies. The outcomes of this team would be extensively used by Sourcing, P2V, Design and Manufacturing teams Should Cost team to enable deflation from during supplier negotiations, better manufacturability and optimized cycle times.

In this role you will be leading Gas Power Digital Factory customization project, demonstrate project leadership skills to achieve on time deliverables. In this role you will be working closely with Should process team, P2V, Sourcing and Mfg teams to align tool development charter with biz priorities. As the project leader for tool customization, you will be responsible for on-time delivery of releases, automation and user-experience upgrades. In addition the role also gives scope to innovate on building new digital tools & methods for should process application across SQDC & Sustainability pillars.

Roles & Responsibilities

Act as the operational lead for Gas Power digital factory development program with FTY =1Understand finance concepts that impact how cost is calculated and reported.  Labor rates, Handling rates, Profit & SG&A, escalation, Unit cost reported etc.Establish strong partnerships with digital & infrastructures teams to build enterprise level system for should process.Drive innovation to enhance existing Should process digital tools, lead them through implementation.Collaborate with program leaders to chart out the roadmap for developing the toolTranslate the long-term tool roadmap into quarterly, monthly and weekly deliverables for the team.Drive adoption of agile and lean tools during development and deployment process.Create cost comparisons with other study engines & benchmarking with actual data to sanity check and validate cost estimates.  Working with subject matter experts in supply chain when questions arise & build the cost logic.Work closely with aPriori Database team for deployment into QA & Production environmentsPartner with supply chain, Should Cost, P2V, AME & Design teams, discuss any new manufacturing methods that need to be captured for cost, understand cost drivers with new technology concepts.  Help design iterate for lowest cost based on supply chain & user feedback.Work closely with GP Should Cost team to provide support on new costing methods implementation & adoptionDesign To Cost – Collaborate with engineering teams for adoption of aPriori, co-facilitate user trainings, offer tool support to ensure seamless adoption.Develop documentation on the models deliveredCollaborate with IT to provide support and guidance with implementing automation, security and user-friendly enhancements to the softwareSystems integration – Connect aPriori with upstream & downstream applications (UG, S360 etc..), drive technical initiatives for auto costing.

Qualifications / Requirements

•        Masters degree in Mechanical/ Mfg/ Production Engineering from an accredited university or college

•        Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in working with aPriori CMWB module. Exposure to aPriori deployment and infrastructure, aPriori cost insights is a plus

•        Demonstrated expertise on python, jupytr and other big data analytics platforms

•        Passionate towards learning costing, mfg methods & coding

•        Ability to connect with stakeholders from diverse domains and provide technical leadership for high performing teams in a competitive and time sensitive environment

•        Ability to work in a cross-functional environment

•        Ability to learn new skills & deliver while learning

Desired Characteristics

•        Experience in developing physics based cost tools, aPriori VPE customization and CSL coding

•        Strong oral and written communication skills

•        Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
