The role is focused on architectural planning and design, as well as technical leadership and supporting engineers within network and security operations. The Lead Engineer will be expected to be hands-on knowledgeable in a myriad of vendors technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Versa, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, BFD, route redistribution, Layer 2 (vlans, pvst, rapid spanning tree, etc.).  **Location** This position is work from home within the US. **The Main Responsibilities** + Design and develop comprehensive network systems, focusing on Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls. + Configure and manage Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewall solutions to ensure optimal performance and security. + Implement and maintain Cisco switching and routing solutions. + Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, including Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, and FortiGate. + Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations. + Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. + Collaborate with various departments to ensure network solutions meet business requirements and objectives. + Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers. + Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains current and secure. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption. + Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations. + Experience with SD-WAN solutions. + Familiarity with F5 load balancing. + Knowledge of wireless networking technologies **What We Look For in a Candidate** + Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE) are a plus. + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network and security engineering.. **Compensation** "This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
