As Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for nurturing the engineering culture, defining the technical direction, and ensuring alignment to the overall domain architecture for your digital product. Furthermore, you take ownership for achieving technical objectives and strategies. _"No relocation is offered for this position"_ **Core Responsibilities** + Lead by example for all engineers on the team with a hands-on approach, providing technical coaching, leadership, and mentoring to foster growth and excellence + Serve as the technical representative for the product, building strong relationships and actively engaging with partners both within and outside the Digital Technology department + Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to define priorities, align development goals with business objectives, and ensure successful product delivery + Stay proactive in the technology landscape by researching, evaluating, and introducing relevant tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the team’s capabilities + Lead user/customer collaboration throughout all stages of work, and support backlog prioritization by offering an engineering perspective + Ensure the data integrity, quality, and scalability of the team’s data products on the LEGO Data Platform, focusing on data contracts, CI/CD practices, and efficient data processing techniques **Play your part in our team succeeding** Carbon Analytics is a new digital product team at the LEGO Group, focused on pioneering solutions to support the sustainability agenda by leveraging technology to manage our carbon footprint across the company. By developing a comprehensive data catalogue that includes activity data, emission factors, and carbon footprint outputs, the team aims to provide the company with the tools necessary to better understand and mitigate its environmental impact. In close collaboration with our business partners, we are motivated by bringing the best digital solutions to the business and doing so with an extraordinary focus on the right digital architecture. We work in an agile way and apply engineering, architecture, and product management practices to ensure we build what brings the most value to our customers and ensure a close feedback loop. **Do you have what it takes?** + Superb communication skills for explaining technical solutions to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership + Extensive experience in solution architecture, particularly for SaaS solutions, with a solid focus on integrating with other products via APIs + Proven expertise in data engineering, including proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes + Hands-on experience in data modeling and data architecture + Expertise in Cloud Architecture and platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with the ability to set technical direction + Ability to formulate and drive technical roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams and business collaborators, ensuring delivery of optimal engineering solutions + Strong collaborative skills to foster a positive engineering culture in agile and DevOps environments, coupled with attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities + Previous experience with Databricks and knowledge of Power BI or other analytics tools Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team. **Build your career brick by brick at the LEGO Group.** "Bring your tech talent and people passion into play and become part of a big IT community and get the chance to spar with other specialists that share interest!" \#LI-JB1 Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
