Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide technical support with a team of Engineers and Chemists in support of development, delivery, and troubleshooting products related to BWR ChemistryInterface with internal and external customers on the resolution of technical issues related to BWR water chemistry and GEH chemistry productsOccasional travel to customer sites to perform equipment/software installations, testing, and troubleshootingContribute to new plant design activities for chemistry systems and plant design scope affected by water chemistry Support the development and execution of scopes for new projects, which may include laboratory testing, in-plant demonstration, and in-plant delivery / implementationInterface with technical members and vendors of industry groups as needed to collaborate on areas of BWR chemistryAbility to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as internal and external customersCritical thinking; problem solving and the ability to effectively troubleshoot mechanical systemsDocumentation of test plans, evaluation results, and mechanical design requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, or Chemical EngineeringMinimum of 7 years engineering experienceCertificate of Authorization issued by Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO)Minimum of 5 years of nuclear experienceMinimum of 5 years of water chemistry of power plants

Desired Characteristics

Boiling Water Reactor ExperienceExperience with engineering design documents and drawingsHands on experience (design, construction, and/or mechanical maintenance) working with custom mechanical systemsExperience with design and execution of small scale testing and mock-ups of mechanical systemsFamiliarity with BWR plant systems and/or chemistry issuesProgramming skills/experience (PLC, Labview, general computer logic/communication)Excellent troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated high energy and the ability to energize othersDemonstrated legacy of high integrity and positive representationLegacy of delivering on commitments; tenacious, with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles; ability to achieve stretch targetsStrong external focusExcellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
