About the Role:
As one of the Lead Engineers in Cloud Engineering (CE), you will be a hands-on technical lead, providing strategic direction and mentoring product and services engineering teams. You will drive a high standard of development practices and continuous improvement, working directly with CE squads that design, build, and support cloud solutions aligning with our overall technology strategy. Contributing across the entire Cloud Engineering stack, including infrastructure, DevOps, monitoring and deployment, you will enjoy influencing the technical direction of multiple products and services. You'll have a passion for cloud infrastructure and will be a major contributor to solving interesting problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Take the lead on technical design, ensuring high standards of cloud engineering across the team. Drive key cloud initiatives, creating Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and cloud-native solutions (Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript). Focus on technical problem-solving, architecture, and automation, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Deliver innovative cloud solutions within the **Product Home team**, contributing to the success of key digital products.
What we are looking for:
Strong hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Expertise in cloud environments and DevOps practices, with a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. A passion for solving technical challenges and leading innovation in a fast-paced, agile environment.
