This position, which offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, is
based in Grand Rapids or Clearwater, FL and necessitates a presence in the
office for 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is
also available for eligible candidates.

The Platform Computing and Networking (PCS) engineering team is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer that has a broad and deep level of expertise that relates to embedded software design and lead the software team on Level A certification projects. In this position, you will perform development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware / software for aviation-based systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will:

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsCoach, mentor and co-ordinate work between team members at multiple sites in the analysis, design, testing and integration of embedded softwareKnowledgeable of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Software Procedures, Specifications, Government and Industry Standards, and special Security requirementsConceive and execute technical development strategies for the teamGenerate the proper technical documentation for projects, lessons learned, processes and best practicesProvide timely communications on significant issues or developmentsParticipate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issuesParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsResponsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineer or related field from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 5 years of experience in the following embedded software engineering lifecycle phases:
-Software architecture design
-Software design and development
-Hardware / software integration
-Software verification & validation
