We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lead engineer to join our data engineering team focusing on GIS location data publication.
The goal for this team will be to develop and operate a continuously running service that produces HERE content and location services and makes them accessible by Esri customers.
Your Responsibilities:
Designing and architecting scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions
Making high-level decisions regarding system design, technology stacks, and software development methodologies
Writing and reviewing high-quality, robust, and secure code
Ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and company policies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
Who are you?Required Skills and Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS OnlineExperience working with location data (e.g. maps, addresses, POIs, etc. in various schemas (GeoJSON, FGDB, etc.)) and using packages such as ArcPy and GeoPandasDemonstrated expertise in Python programming, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for complex systems and a deep understanding of advanced Python concepts (e.g., asynchronous programming, memory optimization, and design patterns)Experience with common data stores ( relational databases, distributed databases)Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab, GitHub, Experience with ETL processes and tooling (AWS Glue, FME, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesProven experience in data engineering projectsStrong communication and collaboration skills in EnglishAdditional competencies:
Familiarity with other GIS software and tools
GISP certification
Experience working with 3D content, such as 3D buildings
Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure
Experience in web development scripting languages such as JavaScript
