THE JOB:

The Lead Engineer's role is to oversee technicians, laborers, and engineers, ensuring the assignment and completion of all scheduled tasks. All responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with departmental and MGM Resort International policies, practices, and procedures.

STARTING RATE: $36.23 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Receive and manage materials ordered from the warehouse and dock.

Organize and prioritize projects as they are requested, ensuring efficient workflow and preparing take-offs and estimates.

Complete all jobs as assigned by Dispatch and Management.

Oversee the completion of work performed by facilities technicians, laborers, and engineers, providing direction and making/taking service calls to coordinate with other departments and resolve issues promptly.

Advise the manager on all ongoing work orders and projects, including scheduling and material requirements.

Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention protocols.

Respond to hotel emergency calls, expediting repairs to ensure guest and employee safety and comfort.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments within off-site properties.

Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat, and orderly at all times.

Maintain knowledge of materials used by various technical trades in the department.

Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and updates.

Utilize computer skills to manage tasks, email correspondence, and project documentation proficiently.

Preform other job-duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

High school diploma, or equivalent.

Four (4) plus years of prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer OR two (2) years as a Lead Engineer in a hotel or industrial complex.

Customer service experience

Computer skills (MS Office)
