The Lead DO-178 /Software Certification Engineer will lead the software certification efforts for certification planning as well as regulatory compliance oversight for assigned projects and products for all of Aviation Systems.

You’ll get support from experienced team members in the area as well as get trained within this specialized field. You will have the opportunity to improve your skills and know-how on the job training as well as extreme coaching and mentoring provided by the staff engineers within the team.

Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basisLead compliance planning and determination of means of complianceSupport / contribution to creation of cohesive project plansReview of development artefacts, where applicablePerform certification audit pre-assessments both of internal projects and external suppliersAudit project / product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basisSupport to Customer AR / Regulatory Authority auditsSupport and collaboration with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit Findings/Actions/ObservationsSupport to / participation in industry working groups

Qualifications

Direct design experience/knowledge with airborne software development and/or certification experience in a RTCA/DO-178B or C environmentWorking with regulatory compliance related to RTCA/DO-178CBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent knowledge and experience
