We are seeking a talented, collaborative, high-energy Lead DevSecOps Engineer with extensive technical expertise and a passion for automating infrastructure and deployment processes to help build, test, and release the next generation of our cloud-based Expert Solutions. This role will reside within the LR/DXG IPM Service Operations & Delivery team, which provides the DevSecOps and SRE services critical to Wolters Kluwer and our Expert Solutions.

As a Lead DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our applications, improving the reliability of existing systems, and working alongside the Wolters Kluwer Product Teams to ensure continuous improvements. You will collaborate closely with application development teams to deliver services efficiently and with the highest quality. In addition, you will mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Lead DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

Serve as a Tech Lead for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer and provide support on technical blockers.Provide expert-level support for Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and related cloud-native infrastructure, including designing, deploying, and troubleshooting containerized applications while ensuring high availability and scalability.Design, implement, and automate Cloud Infrastructure using Azure & AWS with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.Provide leadership and mentoring for adopting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across Service Operations and the broader organization.Lead the transformation towards container and serverless compute architectures, such as AKS, EKS, Docker, and Azure Functions.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and orchestration across multiple environments.Guide and support the adoption of Cloud Native solutions tailored to the team’s requirements.Implement effective observability of managed solutions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Ensure infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD solutions align with broader DevOps and security practices.Mentor and guide a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Explore new technologies and patterns, leading pilots/POC/technology evaluations.Conduct work activities using SRE principles, such as resilience, metrics, capacity planning, toil reduction, incident management, and security.Deploy and maintain critical applications, modernize existing systems, and contribute to architecture and engineering standards.Identify areas for engineering improvement and propose strategies for implementation.Resolve production incidents and contribute to root cause analysis.Share best practices in automation and improve knowledge sharing across the organization.Assist in planning on-call rotations and resource planning within the Service Delivery and Operations team.

Job Qualifications:

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (required)AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (required)Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (preferred)Proficient in Python or Go and expert in PowerShell/Shell scriptingStrong Linux administrative knowledgeUnderstanding of AIOps and its effective utilizationHands-on experience with AWS and Azure services, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or ChefProficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Travis CIExperience with diagnostic tools, observability platforms, and automation in Windows and LinuxAbility to communicate complex technical projects to multiple teams effectively

Required Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in software-related roles, with a mix of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Release EngineeringStrong background in software development with experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or JavaExtensive experience with Cloud Infrastructure in Azure and AWSDeep commitment to DevOps culture, including CI/CD, automated testing, and deploymentProven experience in leading a team of DevOps engineers on large, complex projectsDemonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to identify innovative solutionsExperience in maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale

Preferred Experience:

Experience in modernizing existing systems and designing cloud-native architectures using IaCExpertise in building platforms for observability and defining standard operating proceduresPrior experience as a senior member or team lead on large, complex projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying innovative solutionsAbility to travel 5-10% for team collaboration, conferences, or technical support when needed
