Essential Responsibilities
As the Environmental Specialist, you will:Be responsible for supporting air, waste and water media compliance for the Schenectady siteProvide technical advice and direction on environmental, health, or safety (EHS) challenges and issues at the Schenectady site for assigned program areasSupport site permitting and emissions inventory calculations for air (and/or other media as assigned)Support reporting and licensing / permitting efforts to ensure regulatory compliance including RCRA, EPCRA, SPDES, and Title V.Develop and maintain excellent relationships with local regulatory agenciesImplement / modify EHS programs and procedures to ensure complianceMaintain in-depth knowledge of existing, new, and proposed environmental regulations for assigned program areasDevelop and lead training programs for assigned program areasProvide project management as necessary to ensure regulatory complianceModify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems to assure complianceProvide EHS guidance and support as required for all elements of EHS ManagementEvaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plansTrack site progress against EHS metrics and goals. Participate in EHS compliance and program auditsQualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health; Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university and with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety OR High School diploma/ GED with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety.Desired Characteristics

The base pay range for this position is $99,200.00 - $132,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10 % variable incentive compensation.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
