Job SummaryThe OMS Event Lead is responsible for executing tactical event strategies both in-store and in the field to generate leads, drive sales, and enhance community engagement for Optimum.
Responsibilities1. Event Execution:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute hyper- local events that tie back to market share growth or acquisition.
• Collaborate with the OMS Event Manager on pre-event logistics, resource assignments, and marketing needs.
• Engage directly with potential customers to promote Optimum’s products and services, emphasizing the benefits of fiber-based broadband solutions.
• Ensure all events are properly staffed, equipped, and aligned with brand standards.
2. Sales Support:
• Train and coach sales teams on effective event engagement strategies, product knowledge, and lead follow-up procedures.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to develop tailored approaches for different market segments.
• Assist in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities during events.
3. Community Engagement:
• Build and maintain relationships with local community members, organizations, and businesses to foster goodwill and brand loyalty.
• Act as a liaison between Optimum and the community, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
4. Reporting and Feedback:
• Collect and report data on event performance, including attendance, lead generation, and sales conversions.
• Provide feedback to the Event Manager on event outcomes and potential areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of event activities and customer interactions.
5. Market Awareness:
• Monitor local market trends and competitor activities to inform event strategies.
• Identify opportunities for new events or partnerships that align with Optimum’s business goals.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in event coordination, sales, or community outreach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
