TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening in its Anderson, SC location for a Lead Facilities Electrician that will support a large-scale manufacturing campus. This position serves as a lead facilities machine maintenance electrician on all related electrical work orders, PMs, and special projects. Performs all related or non-related work as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Identifies, leads, and performs assigned special projects to ensure facilities are operating in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.Advanced knowledge of the electrical codes which typically apply to work assignments.Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the electrical trade.Extensive knowledge of electrical devices such as controls, switches, starters, transformers, and motors.High level of skill in diagnosing the cause of electrical breakdowns and the repair or adjustment of these breakdowns.Ability to study and recommend new technologies in a cost-effective solution.Ability to recommend and implement electrical and data section remodeling projects in a cost-effective manner.Good understanding of the NFPA and NEC Code and standards. Ability to train others in understanding them.Thorough understanding of Arc Flash and ability to implement preventative measures in all facility locations.Physical requirements including but not limited to: bending, stooping, climbing ladders, scaffolding, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, etc. .Must have ability to bring a proactive and preventative maintenance mind set operating with highest level of integrity and customer service; must maintain professional attitude.Regularly inspects and evaluates electrical or electronic equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely, follows recommended maintenance schedule for cleaning and lubricating of equipment, and maintains records on equipment status and maintenance.Studies blueprints and schematics to determine methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete the assignment.Connects conductors to plugs, switches, controls, light fixtures, appliances, motors, breaker panels, and switchboards.Splices wires by stripping insulation from wire leads, twisting, clamping, and/or soldering leads together, and applying insulation terminal caps by using a variety of hand tools; makes underground waterproof splices.Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles or replaces defective electrical equipment such as plugs, switches, outlets, controls, ballasts, motors, and appliances using hand tools, test equipment, and service manuals.Test installations to check and ensure continuity and capability of the circuit and safety of all components using test equipment such as an ohmmeter, ampmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope or battery buzzer.Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, junction boxes, switches, outlet boxes and switchboards using hand tools and such special equipment as mechanical drills, cutters, benders, and threaders; pulls wire through conduit.Cleans and lubricates equipment and maintains records on equipment status and maintenance.Installs and repairs data cable, light fixtures, electrical controls, motors and appliances using hand tools and electrical drills.Inspects and evaluates electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely; determines whether equipment and new installations meets the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association and National Electrical Code.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Must possess an associated degree in electrical maintenance and/or have experience related to overall electrical/facilities maintenanceCertified electrician license a plus but not requiredAbility to gain other certifications and complete training as directedMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license.Physical Demands
