As a Lead Fire Field Service Technician and part of the Service team here at Honeywell, you will be tasked with the supervision of installation and service of systems that will include, BAS/DDC, fire alarm, security, access controls in a commercial, educational, construction and or retrofit environment. You will be expected to perform testing and start-up support functions across a wide range of electronic Fire Alarm/Security/ Direct Digital Controls (DDC)/ Building Automation Systems (BAS), which will include proprietary software packages.
\nYou will report directly to our Field Service Manager.
\nMust reside within 150 miles of the Honeywell Mason, Ohio site (7901 Innovation Way, Mason, OH 45040).
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\nPerform/Review installation methods, checkout, and test, startup and adhere to plans, specification, and contract requirements\nUncover and advise customers on upgrades to help relieve pain points and drive service job sales with support from supervisor, coordinator and sales team\nCommissioning start-up and checkout of systems using the software provided by engineering for large jobs (long cycle time) or software possibly written by themselves in small jobs (short cycle time jobs)\nUnderstand and execute all company polices and procedures guidelines for software checkout. This would include checking systems, point check via software SOPs, sample checking\nComplete technical work underestimated hours and within allocated period\nOn small jobs (short cycle jobs), responsible for complete ownership of project in field, coordinate subcontractors/vendors as applicable and work with customers to obtain completion sign-off\nBe responsible for Honeywell equipment at field site, its handling if required and correct installation by subcontractors. Also, be responsible for Honeywell assets such as tools, proprietary software and database at job site\nEnsure that configuration management policies are followed. This involves back up of all changes on an ongoing basis and final archiving of hardware and software to the Honeywell server\nParticipate in Sales support activities such as surveys, application selection and possibly hardware engineering for bid jobs to support our growth initiatives.\nKeep all documentation and paperwork up to date. Examples: Labor & Expense report’s, customer requests for changes, adds, training and sign-off sheets, etc. Focus especially on Change Orders if additional scope is required\nTrain the customer as required per contract terms on operational aspects of the system. If required, conduct complete system function training, and obtain attendee sign-off list for archiving\nPerforms or assists with engineering, planning, scheduling, and installing simple to complex systems or modifications to existing systems. May plan, schedule, and lay out complex electrical equipment installations\nPromotes builds and maintains good customer relations and assists in contract retention; informs supervisor or customer needs, requirements, systems status, and actual or potential customer problems\nBe a zealot for safety & responsible for adhering to, completing, & recording all required HSE safety documentation & training in a timely manner per daily/monthly/yearly, role specific, & site requirements\nAbility to work weekends and be on-call for customers\nCompany vehicle will be provided to travel to customer sites\n\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL

YOU MUST HAVE
\n\n2+ years of related DDC/BAS, and fire alarm systems experience \nHigh School Diploma or GED\nIn-depth knowledge of Mechanical DDC/BAS, Fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships\nFire alarm systems experience with demonstrated knowledge code requirements, testing requirements and coordinating, communicating with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)\nExcellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills\nValid driver’s license and safe driving record ability to pass background check\n\nWE VALUE
\n\nNICET certification level 2 or higher\nTechnical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field or 4 years of experience in a technical role in this industry\nExperience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers such as EBI, Tridium N4, Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifier fire alarm system and other technologies for building DDC, fire alarm and security solutions\nBuilding Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.)\nUnderstanding of typical communication topologies is important\nKnowledge of DDC/BAS, Fire alarms, smoke control and security systems\nStrong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position\nProficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL
