Job Description SummaryThis role will focus on cash flow planning & analysis at GE Vernova, Tier 1 segment, and Tier 2 business levels to drive free cash flow, daily cash management, working capital forecasting, & liquidity planning. This role will develop a strong partnership with the Income, Controllership, Treasury and IT teams to drive strategic cash initiatives. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the three financial statements, experience with variance analysis, and a keen interest in understanding and optimizing cash flow dynamics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decision-making processes and gain valuable experience in a high-exposure, fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Lead ongoing closing, reporting and analysis activities by collaborating with Segments and Tier 2 businesses as well as Corporate.

·       Partner with Treasury on weekly direct cash models, including understanding non-FCF activity (CFIA and CFFA) in coordination with business FP&A teams.

·       Partner with Treasury and tier 2 business FP&A teams to improve visibility and management of collections and disbursements.

·       Drive cash culture through data visibility and scaling centralized reporting of actuals and forecasting methodologies.

·       Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow forecasts.

·       Monitor and analyze cash flow variances, identifying key drivers and trends.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights to enhance cash flow forecasting accuracy.

·       Support the development of financial models and tools to facilitate cash flow analysis and forecasting.

·       Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations related to cash flow performance and projections.

·       Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.

·       Provide recommendations to operational teams and Senior Leadership Team related to cash flow management and optimization.

·       Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cash flow management and financial analysis.

 

Qualifications & desired characteristics

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

·       OFLP, FMP, CAS, or other GE leadership program experience preferred.

·       A minimum of 3+ years of experience and progressive responsibility in FP&A, Controllership, or Cost Management

·       Proficiency in building complex financial models to analyze business performance, forecast future trends and evaluate risks & opportunities.

·       Ability to manage budgets, track actual performances against forecasts, and adjust strategies as needed.

·       Strong understanding of financial statements, and the ability to interpret and communicate financial results, then align with overall business strategy and contribute to decision making.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

·       Initiative-taking with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

If contracted in the US:

The base pay range for this position is 95,300 - 155,000 USD annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance based bonus. This posting is expected to close on March 4th, 2025.
