THE WORK:
Ripple is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our Design and Marketing team. This position will play an active role in maintaining, enhancing, and leading all of Ripple’s marketing websites as we continue to build robust features (for various internal partners and on the site) while growing our brand globally. This role reports to the Senior Director of Design (Lead Growth Engineer)
This candidate has broad but in-depth knowledge of web development from the server to the client and excels in explaining technology to non-technical partners. Specifically, your key cross-functional partners will be digital designers, brand designers, integrated marketers, and technical operations. You are a strong leader and communicator (Lead) who can guide an in-house team of front end developers, as well as external development resources. (Senior) who will collaborate closely with the in-house team of front end developers, as well as external development resources.
You will support your team hands-on, write code daily, implement features, and guide technical decision-making while keeping the team and company goals in mind. Helping to cultivate the team’s career aspirations and technical proficiencies is a soft skill that we are highly interested in.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Be responsible for the backend and deployment process using Vercel to build, test, and deploy. Research and define frameworks, code style guides, and build CMS templates to empower internal stakeholders to contribute and self-serve. Guide technology decisions, coding guidelines, and implementation strategies Extend, improve, and maintain the technical documentation, Continuously implement site speed improvements and technical SEO. Code full stack, from fixing DevOps errors to browser bugs Coordinate projects from requirements gathering, technical scoping, time estimation, vendor onboarding, security assessment, and full development cycle. Partner with design and marketing leaders to understand, clarify, and define UX requirements.WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
8+ years of full-stack web development experience An engineer who specializes in scaling websites via backend architecture and considers themselves a DevOps authority Deep understanding of complex web applications and how to build integrations with cloud services Hands-on experience with CMS integrations such as Contentful and WordPress We currently use Vercel, Contentful, and Next.js Experience creating a performance testing framework for web applications (particularly with UI) Self-starter who is proactive in finding and correcting issues and inefficiencies, creating more efficient workflows with local and cloud builds, and solving errors in both the front and backend Outstanding coding skills in JavaScript, particularly strong experience with JavaScript libraries for web development such as React, Vue or Angular. (8+ years preferably with React) Experienced in applying design thinking to create thoughtful human-centered web experiences. In this role, you’ll be working closely with Design and Marketing so understanding the partner’s point-of-view and requirements is vital Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate openly within a fast paced team and across the organizationWHO WE ARE:
