Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor material flow from suppliersBy assessing supplier commit dates identify areas/parts where Pressure to Plan is generated and drive decision -making process to reduce itDefine strategies to face Pressure to Plan by coordinating various functions (e.g. Purchasing, Sourcing, Quality Engineering, Engineering) in order to achieve delivery date improvementAct as Supply Chain point of contact for teams outside Supply Chain organization (Manuf. Programs, Engineering, Sourcing)Engage and escalate priorities within company management and other functionsCommunicate to Shops / Sourcing program priorities and work issues with program managersDeal with Sourcing on critical orders to guarantee proper priorities and support solving critical shortagesSet allocation decisions for critical hardware (Spares vs Assembly)Communicate updates and act as expert in Critical Material ReviewsDrive Supply Chain LOB’s to track material coverage for selected programsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/EconomicsDeep expertise in Manufacturing, Sourcing or other Supply Chain functionsStrong organizational skills with proven ability to analyze and solve problemsStrong relationship and leadership skills: able to influence, motivate and work effectively with diverse and cross-functional teams within a matrix environmentDeep knowledge of data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire, advanced MS Excel, …)Ability to simultaneously work on short term issues while keeping long term visionAbility to quickly adapt and react to changesSense of urgency and ability to prioritize the tasksProficient in Microsoft Office SW, knowledge of some enterprise ERP (Oracle, SAP)Fluent in English, both oral and writtenDesired Characteristics
