As a member of the Ryan Platform Engineering Team, you will be a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative with the goal of re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise level applications. Aiming to create simple and compelling user experiences, the Senior Full Stack Developer will be required to draw on a depth of design and engineering experience building complex web applications and systems. Best-equipped candidates will be highly proficient in front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular), Typescript, JavaScript, C# and .NET, SQL, web services, and testing practices. Candidates will be required to interface directly with product management, other business groups, customers, and key stakeholders demanding exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

Supervise and mentor the development team.Interface with other departments within the company on system enhancements and modifications, problem resolution and special requests.Is involved in Peer Code review process.Provides regular status update to the project head.Ensure 100% completion of work by the team members and ensure timely project delivery.Some administrative team management.

Client:

Code, test and debug application systems while maintaining source code control system and application software versioning.Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement system design enhancements/changes.Implement systems and enhancements in accordance with current production change control guidelines and standards.

Value:

Develop user experiences using latest best-of-breed languages and frameworks in NodeJS ecosystem.Design and develop application architectures drawing from a deep understanding of languages, algorithms, and design patterns.Experience building enterprise quality market-facing products with professional user interfaces.Develop task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables.Develop and maintain software applications according to specifications.Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects, and processes and procedures in the Applications Development area.Work with external vendors when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience. 10 + years of practical applications development experience in a programmer.

Desired Technologies:

Languages: NodeJS, Java, .NET, Spark, HBase, HDFS, Impala, Hadoop, ElasticsearchExperiences using Cloudera Data PlatformExtensive front-end experience with knowledge of multi-tiered applications

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has potential supervisory responsibilities. 03+ Years of supervisory experience is required

Work Environment:

100% remote work is availableStandard indoor working environment.Long periods of sitting while working at computer.Occasional long periods of standing.Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in-person and via e-mail and telephone.Independent travel requirement:  up to 25%.

Compensation:

For certain California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $139,250 - $191,400For other California-based locations, the base salary hiring range for this position is $127,750 - $175,500For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $122,000 - $167,475For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $139,250 - $191,400For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $127,750 - $175,500The Company makes offers based on many factors, including qualifications and experience.
