Lead General Operations Support Specialist - Crane Support Logistics
**Job Description Summary** The Crane Logistics Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives related to crane service procurement, technical documentation and critical mission oversight. In this role you will analyze the scope of work, develop the request for quote and will be responsible for vendor selection utilizing sourcing rules and accountability. Additionally, you will package and coordinate the lift plans for technical approval & safety/EHS compliance. **Job Description** **Essential Responsibilities** + Manage the crane vendor base to include contract negotiations, pricing and mobilization strategies, near miss follow up and disciplinary actions + Integrate and develop crane sourcing processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-termplanning, and contribute to the overall business strategy + Source cranes and associated rental equipment to support wind turbine major component exchanges (MCE) + Build crane supplier relationships & capacity to meet crane supply needs + Use technical documents and engineering drawings to establish lift weights, heights, wind sail and coefficient of drag by turbine model and MCE component + Develop and communicate clear and concise lift mission scope of work in a request for quote (RFQ) + Calculate and evaluate multiple vendor quotes with sufficient detail to effectively identify the costs, equipment and services associated with each vendor + Negotiate annual and mission crane rates and provide estimates for use in quote generation + Coordinate the review and approval of lift plans and crane/operator certifications for field personnel + Work with functional leaders to coordinate crane logistics between sites and suppliers + Support the crane team to develop industry leading crane strategies to improve coverage, reduce lead-times and decrease cost + Support the GE Crane Manager to onboard new crane suppliers through the GE MSA process including negotiation of T&Cs + Establish and continually update regional crane pricing estimates by work scope for use in FSA and transactional models + Support the GE Crane Manager to establish crane vendor and job site audit program to ensure compliance with safe EHS practices and compliance programs + Support the OnShore team to define and establish crane strategies, pricing levels and vendor capability/capacity In Mexico and Canada + Successfully facilitate field technical issues regarding lifting and rigging with GE CraneManager + Excellent time management & organizational skills; ability to multi-task, perform in a fast-paced environment, respond quickly and document status with process management tools + Develop and maintain administrative procedures to ensure auditability of crane sourcing processes + Exercise independent judgment and decision making over day-to-day crane operations + Identify and drive resolution of crane data integrity + Ensure a high level of customer service **Qualifications/Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial operations + Minimum 1 year in financial accounting operations **Desired Characteristics** + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline + Proficient in Oracle R12 / iProcurement: purchase order review and management + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook + Prior vendor cost reduction negotiation experience + Ability to manage dynamic schedules and projects + Strong mathematical skills + Strong oral and written communication skills + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills + Six Sigma training is preferred (GE Employees Only) GE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
