Reporting to the Production Geology Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will play an important role in terms of product sampling, packets layout, BMM’s installation and activation, grab sampling, KPI’s review and planning and the organization of any new geology project. An important involvement with the geology procedures and QA/QC Production sampling procedures is also to consider. You will also ensure the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Ensure that the Short-Term Plan is followed on the field; Apply the cost instructions in the application of the daily job; Perform the data collection and preparation of the policies/procedures to be approved; Verify the adequate procedure(s) to follow before acting and comply with the Geology procedures in place; Review the contents of the procedures; Follow up frequently with drilling Supervisor, Pit supervisor and production geologist to Ensure Compliance of mining process quality regarding grade control best practices. Report or address any irregularities; Perform the layout of the packets in the pit with the surveyors; Ensure that the exploitation respects the ore (packets) contours and ensure that the packets correspond to geology contact; Install and activate the BMM (Blast Movement Monitors); Detect BMM after the blast and request the survey positions to the surveyors; Perform the sampling in the stockpile, Mine or PP reject; Audit the compliance with the QA/QC Production Sampling procedure; Plan, organize the resources (material, human etc.), perform required studies, data collection and/or designs for implementation of the projects and perform the measurements and samplings required; Attend and participate in the Safety and Geology meetings; Apply the principles and practices of the Supervision Formula; Consult the information provided by the cross-shift and document the information to be shared with the cross-shift while ensuring the effective transfer of information; Supervise and coordinate the efforts of the Grade control team in the field by ensuring daily priorities are met in a timely and safe manner. *Reporting to the Production Geology Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology Department. Schedule\: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee.
