Job Title: Lead Hand (Afternoon Shift)Flynn Manufacturing DivisionHourly Rate: $22 -$26/hourShift Time: Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30amToronto, ON

A Day in the Life:
Leadership:-Proactive and positive supervision of UCW afternoon shift team. (incl SAW/CNC, FAB, SORT and PACK activities).-Responsible for the overall performance of the UCW afternoon shift.-Understand and assist in setting daily production targets with Foreman.-Delegate, support and follow-up progress of tasks assigned to various team members.-Lead start of shift (T1) meetings to review/action items for Safety, Quality and Productivity.-Validate team time keeping.-Produce shift reports and review with Foreman on daily basis.-Report any/all maintenance needs thru established Flynn reporting system. Safety:-Ensure team is in compliance with all Flynn safety programs.-Report any/all safety incidents or concerns immediately using established Flynn reporting system.-Complete all machine pre-start checklists at start of shift.-First Aid certification preferred. Quality:-Perform daily quality audits.-Validate all machine first piece inspections are completed (start and mid shift)-Ensure quality of work meets established standards.-Report and action quality issues using established Flynn reporting system. Productivity: -Proficient in performing fabrication and assembly tasks.-Forklift and walkie certification preferred.-Follow-up progress of tasks with all team members through-out shift to achieve 95%+ attainment to targets.-Organize materials for afternoon shift and start of day shift in accordance with targets and sequences.
What You Bring:-Previous experience supervising/leading teams.-Demonstrated knowledge of Curtain Wall Production processes and procedures.-Demonstrated understanding of machining processes.-Excellent communication and organization skills. -Strong computer skills (ShopLink, MS Word, MS Excel etc.).-Team player with a proactive, safety-oriented mind set. -Must be willing to be cross-trained and rotated throughout departments as needed.
