This opportunity is:

Location: Memphis, TN 38134

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8 am- 4:30 pm

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

Perform routine embedding, microtomy and automated H&E staining.Perform automated IHC and special staining with Ventana systems.Test and validate new antibodies for CLIA approved protocols.Construct multi tissue block controls.Perform quality control to deliver high quality slides to pathologists.Maintain organization of block and slide storage.Maintain quality control and assurance records.Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

All you need is:

At minimum graduation from a school of Histotechnology accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS AND HT (ASCP)1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testingCertification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalentStrong reading, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms

Bonus points if you’ve got:

2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with documented special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
