We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer with expertise in Ab Initio to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop software features that significantly impact the lives of credit card consumers. You will collaborate with product management and engineering teams to execute on the product vision, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and promoting engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities: Work as part of a self-organized Ab Initio engineering team to design and develop essential software features for credit card consumers. Contribute to achieving the goals and vision articulated by Product Management and your management chain. Focus on a significant portion of existing or new software, including major components, sets of features, or mid-size applications/services. Drive engineering best practices such as Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, and set standards across the engineering team. Innovate within your team and technical domain, contributing to new solutions and ideas. Deliver throughout the full development lifecycle, from design to implementation and testing. Resolve questions from the team regarding requirements from product managers and develop solutions to meet those requirements. Write hands-on code in GDE and Unix scripting languages, ensuring high-quality solutions. Advocate for quality by leveraging approaches like Pair Programming, identifying ways to improve delivery throughput and reduce waste. Review and provide feedback on code developed by others, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Estimate delivery timescales and justify these estimates effectively. Stay aware of Jenkins pipeline principles and their integration into the workflow. Embrace Agile practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Must-Have Skills and Experience: Experience in delivering software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle. Strong expertise with Ab Initio technologies. Proficiency in Unix scripting and GDE (Graphical Development Environment). Solid understanding of Agile practices and their application in a fast-paced environment. Ability to identify and resolve gaps in requirements to create comprehensive solutions. Strong focus on quality assurance and the ability to advocate for Pair Programming and best practices. Experience with code reviews and providing feedback to ensure consistency with standards and best practices. Ability to estimate delivery timescales and effectively manage project timelines. Familiarity with Jenkins pipeline principles and integration. Proficient in Oracle SQL. Good-to-Have Skills: AWS interactions and file storage knowledge. Core understanding of Lambda programming. Ability to work in complex and regulated environments, solving real-world problems effectively. Experience: Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering software with Ab Initio. Hands-on experience with Unix scripting, Oracle SQL, and GDE. Experience working in a regulated environment, particularly in industries like banking or finance. Knowledge of AWS and Lambda programming is a plus.
