Synopsis of the role Develops and maintains front-end technical capabilities and products to meet the business needs. Provides engineering support in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and optimization of user-facing components and applications. Offers technical advice and consultation on complex, critical programming challenges related to front-end development. What you’ll do ● Technology Development and Client Services : Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of short- and long-term front-end solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications. Focuses on user interfaces, performance, and seamless integration with back-end systems. Reviews technology requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs, and implements front-end solutions. Roles are often project-based, delivering technology change within the business. ● Key Responsibilities: ○ Design, develop, and operate high-quality user interfaces and applications across the front-end stack. ○ Develop responsive and modular Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular (latest versions). ○ Write, test, debug, and maintain scalable front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. ○ Implement CSS preprocessors like SCSS/SASS for better code organization and maintainability. ○ Collaborate with back-end teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs and server-side logic. ○ Apply modern software development practices, including CI/CD and unit testing with Karma/Jasmine. ○ Participate in technology roadmap discussions to turn business requirements and vision into reality. Work as part of a globally distributed engineering team. ○ Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them effectively. ○ Research, create, and develop scalable and maintainable front-end applications to improve user experiences. ○ Actively participate in Agile processes, including Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activities. What experience you need (7 or less requirements recommended) ● bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. ● 5+ years of front-end software development experience. ● 5+ years of experience with Angular (latest versions), including building modular and scalable SPAs. ● Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. ● Proficiency with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS/SASS. ● Experience with Node.js and its asynchronous programming model, including familiarity with Express.js. ● Hands-on experience with unit testing using Karma/Jasmine or Mocha/Chai *Qualifications should be measurable and concrete. Experience that can be easily identified on a resume. ● Engineering Design - Uses knowledge and experience to deliver good quality software from build to operate in production. Subject matter expert of the solution and capabilities within the area of responsibilities ● Engineering Requirement Analysis - Uses knowledge to provide guidance and clarity in the requirement analysis phase of Software Development Lifecycle. Owns and leads the defi nition of done and defi nition of production readiness of the software components within the area of role and responsibilities ● Agile Engineering Best Practices - Leverages knowledge of delivering software that is fl exible and incremental to meet business goals. Leverages knowledge to decompose the tasks and estimate eff ectively highlighting dependencies and sequencing of tasks ● Idea Creation - Supports creative value ideas with feasibility knowledge acquisition tasks ● Industry Knowledge - Leverages knowledge of industry trends around software engineering design patterns and strategies to implement feasibility proof of value within the roles and responsibilities software ecosystem ● Systems Thinking - Uses knowledge of best practices and how systems integrate with others to improve their own work and the work of less experienced colleagues. Builds and maintains an understanding of technology trends and uses knowledge to identify factors that achieve the defined expectations of systems availability What could set you apart ● Knowledge of mobile app development (Native and Hybrid). ● Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1). ● Familiarity with Google Analytics/Tag Manager for performance and user tracking. ● Experience in integrating modern tools and frameworks for enhanced productivity. ● Self-starter who identifies and responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision. ● Agile environments experience (e.g., Scrum, XP). ● Strong communication and collaboration skills. ● Cloud certification and familiarity with front-end hosting services are strongly preferred.
