Lead I - Software Engineering - Service Now

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions account for others' developmental activities

Outcomes:

Job Description Asset Manager We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Asset Manager with deep expertise in managing assets and entitlements within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing contract and entitlement data, handling procurement processes, validating asset inventory, and ensuring effective license management and reclamation. This role will involve working within the ticket queue, managing software models, entitlement creation, coordinating asset disposals, and creating asset-related reports and dashboards. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with partners and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: • ServiceNow Asset Management: Leverage deep knowledge of ServiceNow’s asset management capabilities to oversee and manage the organization's asset lifecycle, including software and hardware assets. • Contract & Entitlement Management: Manage contract and entitlement data within ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and updating entitlements as needed. • Ticket Queue Management: Handle asset-related tickets within the ServiceNow queue, ensuring timely resolution and addressing issues as they arise. • Procurement Support: Manage procurement processes for assets from vendors such as Amazon, Insight, Apple, Microsoft, and others, including processing quote requests and following up with partners on orders. • Quote & Order Follow-Up: Follow up with partners to resolve issues related to quotes and orders, ensuring smooth procurement operations. • Asset Inventory Validation: Validate and maintain asset inventory data, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date in ServiceNow. • License Management & Reclamation: Manage software licenses, including entitlement creation and software model setup, and implement license reclamation processes to optimize usage and reduce costs. • Asset Disposal Coordination: Coordinate the disposal of assets, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and environmental regulations. • Entitlement & License Reconciliation: Reconcile entitlement and license data within ServiceNow to ensure compliance and proper tracking. • Data Normalization: Perform data normalization to ensure consistency and accuracy across all asset records. • Exception Handling: Manage asset record exceptions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. • Reporting & Dashboards: Create and manage asset-related reports and dashboards within ServiceNow to provide visibility into asset inventory, compliance, and procurement activities.
