Lead I - Software Engineering - TypeScript

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions account for others' developmental activities

Outcomes:

Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications. Code debug test document and communicate product/component/feature development stages. Backend API Developer – Typescript and AWS

Exp : 5+ 

Location: India (Any UST office location)

Work timings: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST

Overview: This position will be a key team member assisting customers backend APIS development, enhancements & L3 support. This resource will also be expected to work together other developers who are located both onshore and offshore.

Requirements and Tech stack: This position is ideal for someone who is detailed oriented, a multi-tasker, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate needs to have strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Python and AWS cloud services and will be responsible for both developing scalable, efficient APIs and providing advanced support to resolve complex issues.

Hands on experience in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python with experience in designing and developing APIs.

Hands on experience working with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, IAM roles DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and S3. Knowledge of serverless architectures is a plus.

Expertise in developing RESTful APIs, with an understanding of best practices for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance API systems.

Proven experience in providing L3 support for complex production issues, performing detailed root cause analysis, and implementing fixes in a timely manner.

Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and optimizing database queries to improve API performance.

Experience with API security, including implementing OAuth, JWT, and other secure authentication methods, along with general best practices for securing cloud-based APIs.

Proficient with Git and Git-based workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) for version control and collaboration.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams, document incidents and resolutions, and provide clear technical guidance.

Knowledge of API management and monitoring tools (e.g., Swagger, AWS X-Ray). 

Lead development efforts for API development and Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs.

Provide advanced-level support (L3) for resolving complex technical issues escalated from L1 and L2 teams.

Troubleshoot and debug critical production issues related to APIs, cloud services, and applications.

Investigate and resolve production incidents, conducting detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence of similar issues in the future.

Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and deliver high-quality technical solutions on time. 

Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of API solutions. Collaborate to improve overall application performance and reliability.

Maintain high standards of code quality by adhering to API best practices, code reviews

Provide guidance to L1 and L2 developers, offering technical mentoring, knowledge sharing, and troubleshooting assistance. 

Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in API development, cloud services, and support methodologies. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance both development and support processes.
